It does not look like that is changing anytime soon.
So in the meantime, we have to work with what we got. Luckily, several companies have come up with clever ways to work around this issue and essentially make one link-unlimited links.
Don't get me wrong, one link directly to your store, a specific product, email list, etc. is not a bad thing. In fact, it is encouraged for those times that you are promoting something specific.
However, normal day-to-day you may want users to have an option of places they can go to access your products, services or events.

Both of these have their pros and their cons, however, they both have Free versions that work great.
Once you create a link with the above recommendations, you can simply replace your current link with the new one.
If you don't want to upgrade to the pro versions for extra analytics, we advise you to use BITLY for tracking URLS. If you are not familiar with Bitly, the platform allows you to enter in a website and receive a shortened URL in return that is trackable. When you set up an account you will be able to keep all of your links in one spot with continuous tracking.
You can convert the links you want to add to your bio link list and use the BITLY link instead.
